by G. George | December 10, 2025

On November 18, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Boston Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested Ying Liang Deng, a citizen of China identified as a criminal alien offender. Deng faces charges for criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, driving while intoxicated, and possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

After being taken into ICE custody, Deng is now awaiting removal proceedings. These proceedings determine whether individuals with criminal records will be deported from the United States. Deng’s upcoming removal hearings will decide his return to China, based on the nature and number of convictions that led to his detention by immigration authorities.

ICE regularly collaborates with state and local law enforcement to identify and process non-citizens with criminal offenses. The agency’s mandate includes prioritizing cases involving serious convictions and ensuring that public safety is maintained through the removal of individuals meeting these criteria.

At present, officials have not released additional information about Deng’s personal background or the specific circumstances of his case.
