The Trump administration’s immigration operation in New Orleans has nabbed 370 illegal aliens since it began earlier this month.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Operation Catahoula Crunch began on December 3. The Trump administration has specifically targeted criminal illegals in sanctuary cities like New Orleans, Chicago, Portland, Minneapolis and Charlotte.
DHS highlighted some of the worst-of-the-worst criminal illegal detainees so far from the operation.
“While sanctuary city politicians have refused to do their job, DHS is making the New Orleans community safer as it continues to arrest illegal alien drug dealers, hit-and-run criminals, and one monster who was convicted for arson and threatening a person with intent to terrorize,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “I hope that sanctuary politicians will say thank you to the men and women who are putting their lives on the line to get these criminals off the streets.”

The illegal alien McLaughlin referenced is Marlon Adolfo Jiron-Castro from Honduras. He was previously deported and has convictions of arson, burglary, possession of controlled substances, and threatening with intent to terrorize.
Another illegal arrested, Victor Garcia-Ramirez from Mexico, has been convicted for illegally reentering the U.S. three times, while Alex Canu-Gonzalez of Guatemala was convicted of illegally entering the U.S. and detained with an active warrant in Virginia, according to DHS.
Immigration officials also arrested Angel Rocha-Marquez of Mexico, who allegedly was a driver for a smuggling operation with a weapon conviction.
“Secretary Noem has been VERY CLEAR: DHS does not pick and choose which laws we enforce and which we don’t; under President Trump we are restoring law and order. No matter when and where, DHS will find, arrest, and deport ALL criminal illegal aliens.”
