An illegal from the Dominican Republic who was previously deported and is a convicted sex offender was arrested in Philadelphia this week, federal immigration agencies announced.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement with the help of Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Marco Gomez on Monday after they received a tip.
According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Gomez was previously deported on August 4, 2015 and has several convictions, including for sexual assault and unlawful restraint. He’s also a tier 3 registered sex offender in the state of Pennsylvania.

Gomez faces charges of illegal reentry after he came to the U.S. illegally again in 2023 during the Biden administration, as well a charge for failing to register as a sex offender.
“This illegal alien has been convicted of sexual assault and is a registered sex offender in the state of Pennsylvania,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in a statement. “After being deported following his sentence, he illegally re-entered the United States under the Biden Administration and had been living in Philadelphia.”
Another illegal alien sex offender who entered the United States under the BIDEN administration has been caught.

“Thanks to the hard work of the men and women of ICE, as well as our partners in the Department of Justice, this predator has been taken off our streets. He will soon be removed from our country and will no longer be able to threaten American citizens.”
Gomez is currently in the custody of the Marshals Service.
The Trump administration has arrested a record-number of illegals over the summer, Deported News reported.

In August, almost 51,000 illegals were arrested – the highest monthly total on record. Arrests were up from 50,208 arrests in July and 43,900 in June.
