Trump admin deports former Iranian Revolutionary Guard members who entered U.S. illegally under Biden

The Trump administration this week deported three known members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard who entered the U.S. illegally during the Biden administration.

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, “known or suspected terrorists” Ehsan Khaledi, Mohammad Mehrani, and Morteza Nasirikakolaki were deported on Monday.  All three are former members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terrorist organization.

“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, the Department of Homeland Security is getting the worst of the worst out of our country and keeping them out – including violent gang members, murderers, pedophiles, and, in this instance, known or suspected terrorists,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “The American people deserve a safe and secure homeland, free from the threat of foreign terrorism and that is exactly what Secretary Noem has been fighting to give them every single day for over a year now.”

Mehrani entered the U.S. illegally in September 2024, and Khaledi entered illegally in October 2024, both through the southern California border with Mexico.

Nasirikakolaki illegally entered the U.S. in Arizona, where he “was encountered by Border Patrol,” DHS said.

“The Trump administration will not allow criminal illegal aliens who wish to inflict harm upon innocent Americans to walk the streets of our communities,” McLaughlin added. “They will be arrested, and they will be deported.”

ICE has arrested over 1,400 known or suspected terrorists and over 7,400 gang members during the Trump administration, according to DHS.

In June, ICE arrested 11 Iranian nationals who were in the U.S. illegally, including Ribvar Karimi, who allegedly served as a sniper in the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. He was released last month after a judge terminated his case, AL.com reported.

One of the illegal Iranians was arrested along with his U.S. citizen wife after she allegedly threatened to shoot federal law enforcement officers.
