ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers arrested Oscar Alexis Martinez-Lopez, a Salvadoran illegal alien and suspected MS-13 gang member, during an Aug. 19 targeted operation near Interstate 99 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.

He had previously been arrested in El Salvador for homicide, making him a high-priority public safety threat in U.S. immigration enforcement. Martinez-Lopez was identified through an investigation that focused on multiple immigration violators believed to be temporarily residing at a specific location, then intercepted in a traffic stop as he left the area.

He remains in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings and potential removal.
